J.D Hayworth - how much do you really love your horse?

J.D Hayworth - how much do you really love your horse?

J.D. Hayworth, the tebaggers favourite who is challenging Senator John McCain in the Arizona Republican primary, has revealed he has some very questionable thought processes. He told a Florida radio interview that he was in support of a Constitutional ban on same Sex marriage because otherwise, men may be persuaded to marry horses. I blame the horses, they are such flirts. Men after all you just can’t trust ’em.

Here he is on radio explaining that when it comes to horses, men really can not help themselves.

You see, the Massachusetts Supreme Court, when it started this move toward same-sex marriage, actually defined marriage — now get this — it defined marriage as simply, ‘the establishment of intimacy,’ ” Hayworth said. “Now how dangerous is that? I mean, I don’t mean to be absurd about it, but I guess I can make the point of absurdity with an absurd point — I guess that would mean if you really had affection for your horse, I guess you could marry your horse. It’s just the wrong way to go, and the only way to protect the institution of marriage is with that federal marriage amendment that I support.”

I’m not sure what films Mr Hayworth has been watching, but I could see why he may be disturbed if he picked up a wrong copy of animal farm. He has indeed got a very very strange attitude.

If he ever did get elected, I’d apply the Glenn Beck rule to him – watch this one, he could end up with a dead intern or a live horse.

Altogether now

I Love Horses. Best of all the animals. I love horses. They’re my friends.I Love Horses. Best of all the animals.

I hear the unfortunately named Neal Horsley is getting excited.

9Update – he went on Rachel Maddow to defend his position and did not do too well]
