Weiner’s exposing of his wiener was wrong, but exposing Thomas was more than right

Idiot, stupid, stupid idiot. I feel sorry for his wife. I feel sorry for his family and the family of his wife. I feel an idiot for defending him. However I will say this, nothing, including the confession by Weiner convinces me that Breitbart is nothing but a dirty, despicable sleaze merchant.

Sadly, that horrid nasty man (and I really cannot understand why no member of the Press was able to say what he has lied about), has won his first non African American scalp. So that disgusting pig can now say ‘see i’m not a racist’.

Weiner shooting his load means that his message gets lost. Just as defending the poor, not just the “middle class” was removed from the political lexicon of the USA by the Edwards scandal, the corruption of Clarence Thomas now leaves, perhaps forever the limelight of potential media scrutiny. Let me remind you why Weinergate was exposed now as opposed to a month or two later. It was this letter:-

The Honorable Justice Clarence Thomas
United States Supreme Court Building
1 First Street Northeast
Washington D.C., DC 20543
Dear Justice Thomas:As an Associate Justice, you are entrusted with the responsibility to exercise the highest degree of discretion and impartiality when deciding a case. As Members of Congress, we were surprised by recent revelations of your financial ties to leading organizations dedicated to lobbying against the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. We write today to respectfully ask that you maintain the integrity of this court and recuse yourself from any deliberations on the constitutionality of this act.

The appearance of a conflict of interest merits recusal under federal law. From what we have already seen, the line between your impartiality and you and your wife’s financial stake in the overturn of healthcare reform is blurred. Your spouse is advertising herself as a lobbyist who has “experience and connections” and appeals to clients who want a particular decision – they want to overturn health care reform. Moreover, your failure to disclose Ginny Thomas’s receipt of $686,589 from the Heritage Foundation, a prominent opponent of healthcare reform, between 2003 and 2007 has raised great concern.

This is not the first case where your impartiality was in question. As Common Cause points out, you “participated in secretive political strategy sessions, perhaps while the case was pending, with corporate leaders whose political aims were advanced by the <5-4> decision” on the Citizens United case. Your spouse also received an undisclosed salary paid for by undisclosed donors as CEO of Liberty Central, a 501(c)(4) organization that stood to benefit from the decision and played an active role in the 2010 elections.

Given these facts, there is a strong conflict between the Thomas household’s financial gain through your spouse’s activities and your role as an Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court. We urge you to recuse yourself from this case. If the US Supreme Court’s decision is to be viewed as legitimate by the American people, this is the only correct path.

We appreciate your thoughtful consideration of this request.

I hate that this message is lost and I really do want someone else to take this important issue up.

Do I think Representative Weiner should resign, after all I would certainly support a Republican resigning over this? No – precisely because of why I would suggest that the Republican should resign.

Tell me one time Weiner spoke as a moral conservative, legislated as a moral conservative or preached as a moral conservative. If you can find a time where he has preached morality for ye but not for thee, then I will agree he should resign.

As far as I know he has not done, so then it is a matter between him, his wife and their families. The bedroom, his bedroom where conservatives want big government and liberals want it shrunk to the size of a Santorum wipe.

For now Weiner has gone from being a great to another addicted to the aphrodisiac of power. Idiot

A thank you though to Joseph Cannon for closing off the Yfrog bug..

It turns out that Weiner has been sexting with a 17 year old child. How do you hypocrites feel now protecting this piece of s**t?
