Someone at the head of the Labour campaign is on acid.

At the start of the General Election campaign there was about as much chance of a Lib-Dem breakthrough as there was of Elvis singing for the Labour Party.

Well, the latter has actually happened. “Elvis” performed for the Labour Party. What next? Aliens arriving to kidnap George Osborne and Vince Cable?

That’s right Labour thinks that they can recover their lost dream of a fourth term by dragging out an Elvis impersonator. Kind of metaphorical for Gordon Brown impersonating a Prime Minister, while the Dark Lord of Mandleson operates in the background.

Not quite as impressive as Gary Barlow turning up at Brine Leas High School in Nantwich to sell Cameron’s X-Factor style Music in schools policy.

(PS – the school band did great).
