Everybody Do The Post 9/11 Dance

I have just watched Channel 4’s excellent documentary, “True Stories, Taking Liberties”, a two hour show detailing the rights that have been removed from UK citizens by the Blair / Brown Government.

UK residents hid safely under their beds watching as the Government dealt with the terrorists. A small step here, a small step there. Well UK. You have no rights. None. Those rights are now at the discretion of the Police and the Home Secretary.

Thank you New Labour, I feel so much safer.

Things Will Only Get Bitter

Tackling poverty was one of the key goals of New Labour. By doing so, Tony Blair, as then Shadow Home Secretary argued crime would fall. There would be tougher prison sentences for those who commit crimes in the years of plenty.

What a d ream. How awful does that song sound now? How hollow does it make you feel?

New Labour will leave Britain with a giant increase in public expenditure, having increased it both in cash terms and gdp terms, but with nothing to show for it. Financed by debt and City money that is no longer there and will never return. What a legacy. (Of course, the World is a lot safer now because of the actions they took to remove Sadam Hussein – yeah right).

Da Leader

What happened to the Labour target of tackling poverty?

According to The Institute for Fiscal Studies, Poverty levels, at the time the recession started, amongst those without dependent children is higher now than at any point since 1961.

Wages have stagnated with median wages having risen by only £1 per week since 2006. In the mean time the pay of a Member of Parliament is higher than 95% of the population they serve. Not exactly something to keep the workers happy.

Housing was at crisis point before the depression started, it is now a disaster. According to the Lib Dem Leader, there are 70% more people on the Housing Waiting List than in 1997. The budget for house building is slashed again in the Labour “no cuts” budget (it was already below 1997 levels in cash terms), and the cross Party supported Local Housing Allowance will be effectively scrapped next year in the lovely “no cuts” Labour budget.

The Prime Minister is denying public expenditure cuts that appear in his own budget.

We were lied to about a War. We were told that Britain does not torture and now we have this.

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/crime/article6466430.ece

Metropolitan Police officers subjected suspects to waterboarding, according to allegations at the centre of a major anti-corruption inquiry, The Times has learnt.

The torture claims are part of a wide-ranging investigation which also includes accusations that officers fabricated evidence and stole suspects’ property. It has already led to the abandonment of a drug trial and the suspension of several police officers…

..The waterboarding claims will fuel the debate about police conduct that has raged in the wake of hundreds of public complaints of brutality at the anti-G20 protests in April.

The part of the inquiry focusing on alleged police brutality has been taken over by the Independent Police Complaints Commission. It is examining the conduct of six officers connected to drug raids in November in which four men and a woman were arrested at addresses in Enfield and Tottenham. Police said they found a large amount of cannabis and the suspects were charged with importation of a Class C drug. The case was abandoned four months later when the Crown Prosecution Service said it would not have been in the public interest to proceed. It is understood that the trial, by revealing the torture claims, would have compromised the criminal investigation into the six officers.

For cannabis?

Whatever next?

When will this authoritarian bunch of crooks go, along with their ennobled barrow boys, their thugs and their enablers?

You have children being added to the DNA database daily. As highlighted by the Lib Dem PPC for St Holborn. How many more civil liberties do we have to lose?

At the moment we do not need to worry about PR letting in Fascists. We have a fascist Government.

Is Alex Jones really a nut? Maybe, but a broken clock is still right twice a day.

Gordon Brown Has Lost It

He has forgotten how to live, how life ACTUALLY IS. He has been in a Security bubble for at least 12 years, HE sees police everywhere, on rooftops, round corners when he goes to buildings. He does not realise that is because of the position HE holds.

There are no “bobbies on the beat”. There are the pretend police of the “Community Safety Officers”, who seem only to be employed by Councils to provide comedic relief to kids on estates, and jackbooted, body armoured cops who would rather stamp pn your head than tell you the time.

He does not know that the Police are only interested in you if you look remotely Islamic, are at a demo, are taking their picture, or are a motorist.

He probably thinks one of the nice Policemen he sees on the roof can help the old granny home when she withdraws her pension from the cash point. This proves beyond anything HE HAS LOST IT.

Gordon Brown urges police to walk people home from cashpoint
Comments (127)

Gordon Brown today urged police across England and Wales to offer to walk the last mile home with people who feel unsafe after they visit the cashpoint.

He floated the idea, pioneered by the Wanstead neighbourhood police team in east London, when he delivered his first major speech about crime at Chelsea FC’s conference centre today.

Given the current state of the banking system and some of the lunatics now employed by the Police, I would feel safer being escorted home by the neighbourhood mugger.

Why Gordon Must Go

Gordon Brown is now just a desperate loser. He is doing a Hillary Clinton. Appealing to the most extreme of the working class base. I would not be surprised to hear him come out and say hard working Britons, white Britons.

Effective tax rates of 62.8% on highest incomes place us as now one of the highest taxed in the World. This was a pure play to the Labour base. This tax increase compares to the now top tax rate of 39% America introduced (currently 35%).

It should be noted unlike Brown, the US also passed the biggest ever tax reduction in history for those earning under $250,000. Here middle earners will be faced with another tax increase through the NI system. What Brown has ensured is that if there is any economic recovery – especially in Finance, that recovery will be in the US and not the UK. 80% of hedge fund transactions worldwide used to be done from London in order to trade from The British Cayman Islands. A tiny Island holding 80% of all Hedge Funds held world wide. Primarily because it is used by Britain as a tax haven.

Brown continued to show how out of touch he was by playing to the BNP supporters of working class Labour constituencies. Trying to stop a few brown skinned Gurkhas coming in was exactly that – a play to the working class racist. This would have been the Gordon Brown moment of saying look Cameron and the Liberals support the darkees. Except that it would not work. The British are very proud of their relationship with the Gurkhas. They continue to fight with us even today in Afghanistan. They deserve recognition.

Terrorism “busts” on on Muslims to increase the fear factor, which if secret, why are the BBC always there filming? All 9 of those arrested during the expenses crisis of the Home Secretary were released without charge.

££££millions spent on very fascistic report any stranger adverts to boost the fear factor.

None of it is working. The British are fair minded so Brown can play to the BNP vote as much as he wants but he will be left with BNP vote numbers if he does.

News reporters should have been exposing the tax legacy of Brown instead of sucking up to him. His big anti child poverty tax credit system, has left millions facing overpayments because of its complexity and the lowest paid facing effective tax rates of 39% after paying their normal rates of tax. This is the same rate as the top rate of tax in the US, but here it is paid by people on the minimum wage.

His policies effectively destroyed what remained of British manufacturing, research and design. He did not care as the city was picking up the tab. Now that has gone. With effective tax rates of 62.8% because of the 50% band and no cap on NI, no one will pick up the tab either.

His billionaire cronies will not either. Brown talked a lot about tax havens, but most of the tax havens in the World are British. They hold something like $13 trillion in untaxed wealth.

His strong arming of education proposals and forcing through the performance indicator culture into every public service, leaves Britain with a nation of people able to follow exam courses but unable to write. Public services that are able to deliver indicators, not services.

Any cuts in public services to come are his cuts. He leaves the budget in a mess.

He is a walking disgrace. The Blair legacy after 3 large majority terms was simply Iraq. The Brown legacy is putting Britain on the rack.

Which Country

Ballot Boxes are interfered with

Audit trails of how many and who voted go missing

An Opposition MP is raided by Anti Terrorist Police supposedly without the knowledge of the Home Secretary.

The Police can kill innocent people and get away with it

You can be put in prison for 42 days on pure suspicion

You can be put in prison indefinitely on the word of a politician

The State can torture people; it will just be denied.

The behaviour of your children is logged on a State database for their entire lives

Your fingerprints, iris scans and biometrics are held by the State

You do not have the right to remain silent

You are watched on 4 million CCTV cameras

You may not photograph the Police

You do not have the right to protest peacefully

Curfews exist for entire communities

Your travel movements are logged and monitored

Your shopping habits are studied and logged by the State

Your emails and telephone conversations are recorded by the State

Your passport can be withdrawn at the whim of the State

Local Councils can use lie detector tests on you.

A once proud Democracy is now irrevocably weakened because of an unholy alliance to American NeoCons. The trouble with allowing ANY GOVERNMENT to take so much power from the people is that these powers are hardly ever returned. The sad thing for the British public is that they cheered while most of this was being passed to fight off the boogey man of terrorists.
